- Assisted with agricultural tasks and data collection for multiple trials of specialty crops at the Simcoe Research Station

Canadian Conservation Corps
Stage 1 
- Two weeks of leadership and teamwork training
- Certifiction as a field leader (hiking and paddling) from the Outdoor Council of Canada
- Two week backcountry paddling trip, traveling from Killbear Provincial Park in Parry Sound to Killarny Provincial Park
Stage 2
- Moved to Ottawa to volunteering for the Canadian Wildlife Federation for a three month term
- Used QGIS to compile geographic data on aquatic barriers in Alberta for the Aquatic Barriers Project
Stage 3
- Continued to volunteer for the Aquatic Barriers Project, working with stream networks and topology to provide a base for a dam removal prioritization tool
- Researched and wrote educational webpages on the Northern Leopard Frog and Mixed Woods Ecosystem for Hinterlands Whos Who
EDUCATION
University of Guelph – Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
- Awarded entrance scholarship as well as Dean’s Honour List (+80 average) every semester
- Conducted research in a greenhouse lab, collected data and presented results successfully
- Developed a knowledge base in a variety of areas including soil sciences, environmental policy, statistical analysis, biology, ecology, geographical information systems and aquatic sciences
